I would like to recommend a wonderful site called Good Books For Catholic Kids, not to be confused with the site this blog lives on. About a year ago, when we were thinking of a name for our site, I wanted to call it just that: Good Books For Catholic Kids. I don't remember why I changed my mind. It must have been divine inspiration.
Brittany, the Catholic homeschooling mom behind Good Books For Catholic Kids, is working with a similar goal and from very similar standards as we do - amazingly so. I am so happy to have found her site.
Brittany does something I cannot. She reads popular books for teens and reviews them according to Catholic principles. I get very upset when I read bad books and unfortunately much popular teen fiction is bad. I am not talking about style here but content.
Please take a look over there and read Brittany's thoughtful and detailed reviews.
She also has great book lists!
You can start with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I love this book!
Please, remember to subscribe and share. It helps Google and the other search engines find us. Thank you and God bless you!
