Haley Stewart is an excellent writer with profound insights which are interesting and often funny to read. . Her site is also aesthetically beautiful adorned with photos of her family. Her site reminds me of the Pioneer Woman.

Good Books for Catholic Kids: Not to be confused with this site! This blogger has wonderful book lists. She reviews popular children's books thoroughly stating pros and cons regarding suitability for Catholic children. Her book reviews follow the same principles as this site.
